Olivia and Michael's story began on September 22, 2012, at Liv’s 22nd birthday party in Los Angeles. Freshly moved to LA that year, Liv had just settled in with her new friend Danyelle Foord in the heart of West Hollywood. Though Liv was new to the city, Danyelle’s friends quickly became her friends; one of these friends was Michael, who was introduced to Liv that night. They hit it off immediately and had a fun night out together, as evidenced by this photo. They had many more nights out together in LA, and kept in touch regularly after Liv moved back to New York, forming a great friendship.

Fast forward to October 2020. It's the middle of COVID, Liv just turned 30 and everything is…bad. Amidst the uncertainty, their mutual friend Cody Trucco suggested a change of scenery. Liv and Michael eagerly embraced the idea of creating a bubble together and rented a charming house on Shelter Island for the entire month of October.

They spent the month making family dinners after long work days, playing Battleship and going to the farmer’s market. It was the best thing to come out of the pandemic as far as Liv and Mike are concerned.

The couple has been together ever since, living together in Brooklyn as of August 2022.

On March 29, 2024, Michael proposed in that very same apartment.
